THE AMAZING READING RACE

In the Ellet LRC this week, there will be activities for students to explore basic coding skills. Library Media Specialists, Mrs. Smith-Clemens will work with students one-on-one to introduce block programming using Spheros and the Hour of Code website activities. 

 

Students wishing to participate may also visit during their study hall or lunch period and can check with LRC staff for more details.

  1. Download the Sphero EDU app (available for Chromebooks too).

  2. Watch Sphero Block 2

  3. Follow directions to complete First Program

OR

  1. Go to the Hour of Code website.

  2. Choose a task from Grades 9+/Beginner

    1. Classroom Technology: Computers

    2. Activity Type: Self-Led Tutorial

    3. Length: One hour

    4. Language: Blocks

  3. Complete the “One hour” activity
