APS Teacher of the Year in May
Posted on 03/20/2019
Every year, Akron Public Schools honors its APS Teacher of the Year. But, there is a deliberate process we go through to select one teacher out of a couple thousand terrific educators every year.
We begin by selecting each building's teacher of the year, then we whittle it down based on elementary and secondary education teachers of the year. Here, we would like to introduce you to our secondary education teachers of the year who will be going on to compete for the overall honor of being APS Teacher of the Year at a banquet May 16.
Marissa Hughes- Band Teacher, Miller South
