This past Friday night, after the national anthem and just before kickoff of the Ellet vs. Firestone football game, longtime Ellet head football coach Joe Yost was honored with a plaque during a five-minute ceremony. Coach Yost offered many heartfelt words of gratitude (he especially noted the help of the late former APS Superintendent Conrad Ott and Mrs. Ott, who was in attendance). Numerous former players and coaches were in attendance to share in this special night for Coach Yost. Fittingly, Coach Yost (now a defensive assistant to head coach Chuck Shuman) then helped lead Ellet to a 27-7 victory on the field.
