Peace and Blessings,
I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. I wanted to first send my thanks to you all, for being great partners with The Ohio State University and the Young Scholars Program, not only during this academic year but in years past. With your assistance, we have been able to recruit, develop and engage, and graduate Akron Public School scholars and send them off to The Ohio State University with a hefty need-based scholarship, made possible by their stellar academic performance throughout high school.
In the past, we have been able to present our scholars in front of the Akron School Board, Administration and families, but due to COVID-19, we were not able to attend the board meeting and make this happen. However, we would still like to recognize the Young Scholars from Akron, and present them to you all. They’re hard work and dedication should not go unnoticed and they deserve to be celebrated, on every level.
Our staff has prepared a PowerPoint that highlights ten (10) seniors within our program, that will headed to The Ohio State University (7) and other colleges in the area (3). Please, take the time to review the PowerPoint and congratulate the seniors and their families. I’ll try to attend as many graduations that I am allowed to attend (ha)!
Once again, thank you to the guidance counselors who I work with and are helpful in providing me with the necessary materials needed for me to work with our scholars during their high school careers. Thank you all and I look forward to working with you all, in the future.
Forever Young,

E. Fletcher
